Silence!

It's Halloween.

I'm in an English class that deals a lot in silent slapstick film.

My Prof, a gentleman named Paul St. Pierre, shows up in full Charlie Chaplin attire. The cane, the black brows, the top hat, and the eyeshadow were all there. He even trimmed the sides of his moustache and died it black.

From the allotted 2:30-4:20 time slot, he didn't speak. He wrote his words on the overhead and even insulted "the usual professor, St. Pierre." Charlie introduced his "friend," Buster Keaton, and we spent about 80 minutes watching Spite Marriage.

A student asked him a question after class and he just nodded his head, "yes." Not a single word.

Paul's admittedly a big dork but I frikin love him. Big props to a professor for stepping it up. Something about it is a good example.
