There's no better board game than "Settlers." There's no game that makes you hate your friends more than Settlers. Thea, Justin, Pete's, Kenton, Chris and Zoe will testify, among others. Even better to build a huge model of the game.

There's nothing Pete Parotta hasn't done. Skydiving, yes. NBA Team Mascot, yes. Dissed by Jay Leno on the Tonight Show, yes. Get picked on by Shaq, yes. Lived in Hawaii, yes. I can't believe this guy sometimes.

Dedicated to Jo: I met an old guy at the ferry yesterday whose wife bought him a stand-up bass in pieces for $25 as a joke. He got his friend to rebuild it for $300 in 3 weeks. It's worth $3000 now, and...he has a freeking functional stand-up bass.
